No. He kept the shards of his old katana. He's going to use the broken piece still as a wakizashi.

So can I be the Leader of the Corsairs or do you have someone already planned for that.

The Corsairs, Valdich, and other main enemies of the quest will be led by NPCs; you can, however, be working with them, perhaps revealing our location.

      I am guessing that this is the place where you want me to enter in at to have our battle, but I am not so sure since it may mean something else.  By this I am refering to the sub-title of the new chapter

Um... what are Valdich?? Also are we supposed to make it out of the brig?? Cause right now we are a little outnumbered, wasn't sure how to move on.

The Valdich will come in very soon, but don't worry about that for now. You'll be worrying enough in a couple chapters to make up for it.

Anyways, yes, we are heavily outnumbered in the brig--now's the time for Crowning Moments Of Awesome and fights to the death. Keep in mind that you guys know magic and the Corsairs and allies do not (Faust excepted, but I'm dealing with him)--you can use illusions or attacks to improve your game. Be creative and you'll survive just fine, though not without pretty severe injuries.

EDIT: After minor reconsideration, I have decided to edit mosts slightly to make the battle slightly less ridiculously difficult.

((But wait... didn't Kaethe volunteer for the Arrow, and Telchi chose the Duncan because he wouldn't be exposed to attack, being underwater? I'm so confused...))
