Be prepared, long rant incoming.

I started playing on Grand Fantasia over two years ago. It's an MMO published and operated by Aeria Games. Back then, Aeria was actually a pretty decent company. Their games were all topnotch, their support was superior to almost every other publishing company out there (almost...), and the staff and community was friendly. Grand Fantasia used to be an amazing game.

Now? I'm well within the 47% dissatisfaction rating that the players have given Aeria (at time of this posting update). The fact that Aeriagames had a near complete security meltdown, which required them to force reset everyone's password probably started the decline of my liking the service. That was a few weeks ago.

What's worse than that? My main account has been banned 5 times this month alone. Every time that I submit a ban appeal, the appeal is approved and I'm told that it was "Your account was used for selling gold". Really? So anyways, my last ban appeal was probably three or four days ago. I was on the account last night for the guild wars. Today, I go to try to log in: "This account is blocked."

I mean seriously? This is now the 6th ban in under a month. I know that they're not getting into my account from -my- side. In fact, my most recent password was something along the lines of (fL^d@s`1. Not only that, but I know there are no keyloggers on my system. So, I'm forced to believe that it is Aeria's shittastic security service (which has been one of the highlights for reasons for their poor rating). You would figure a company with millions of dollars could find a security program worth two shits to code a proper security system for them, but no. Why? Cause Aeria doesn't give a damn about their customers or players. So you know what? I'm fighting back. I'm sick and tired of being kicked, beaten, and bruised by Aeria. I'm tired of having to appeal bans. So you know what? I quit. Not only did I quit, I rage quit.

I've had it with you people. This is the fourth time in under a month where my account has been blocked, and I'm starting not to care anymore. Every last time it has been "Your account may have been selling gold", with what, all of the 50g I had on the account until I got lucky on o-clay? It appears to me that what Aeria cares about the most is their precious money, and they leave their customers right out of it. I'm done. No more ban appeals, no more giving a damn, it's broken. Good day, Good riddance, Good bye.

So you know what? Aeria can suck it. I'm now going through sites like MMOHut and other such hubs of MMO publisher and rating Aeria as low as I can go. Not only that, I'm considering going to 4chan "If this post is dubs, DDoS aeriagames.com". But, I'm probably more level headed than that. God only knows what would happen if Anon got involved. God forbid they tear Aeria a new one. Maybe it'd give Aeria a new conduit and a lesson in how they've been treating their customers.

Whatever.

Are they by chance owned by microsoft? Cause that sounds like a microsoft kind of security/customer service approach.

I say that because not only is xbox live's security completely shittastic(i like that word btw, thank you for introducing me to it lol), but they don't care that it has been repeatedly hacked with credit card info being taken each time because they already have people's money, so why shoudl they care (what happened when PSN was hacked? the system was taken down and not only intensely investigated, but the entire server network was moved to a a new location and upgraded from a 128 encryption network to a 256, as well as giving free stuff to all subscribers to the service, which is free lol).

Microsoft is also notorious for having terrible costumer service.

Sorry that you got hit with all kinds of BS.

Meh, posted it all around the MMO forums and major topsites. Still pissed, but less so.

XD

Never played any of their games before myself, but I can definitely empathize with your circumstances - I've been in the exact same situation a number of times before with other games and other companies.

Honestly? Pretty much every time, I've had the same reaction - Really couldn't be farked dealing with these sort of companies, personally.

As for how far to go? Go as far as is possible, without it being a hindrance on the convenience of your time. If it's trouble to go somewhere with it, don't bother worrying about it, but if it's no real trouble, I'd just do it. XD

Don't go to 4chan. XD Otherwise, fuck 'em. Poor service, poor reputation. Free market at its finest.

My response to this?

Quote

Do you mean hacked, or cracked? If the former, I see no reason to reactivate the account because of aeria's lack of security, if the later, I still see no reason to reactivate the account. If Aeria cannot prevent information such as user passwords (I have reset mine more than 3 times now) from being obtained by third parties without permission, then I have no interest in continuing business with you.

Thank you and good day,
-Priest Rezo
