In response to a malicious bot of some description that appeared to be using up over two and a half gigs of bandwidth (!), Nowe and I agreed to install ZB Block, which is a software that automatically detects and bans malicious users, bots, hackers, and their ilk. I'm not a techie, so I don't know how it works, but I do know that it works. Since installation, at time of this writing, we've already killed our first bot. Big thanks to the people behind ZB Block, a big fuck you to malbots and a big recommendation to any of our site-owning users to consider ZB Block if you have malbot issues.

As an aside, if someone has been wrongly banned, they should contact Nowe at the email address rpggeek [a_t] live [d_0_t] com to request their unbanning. Please keep this information in mind and pass it along to your friends. We won't be accepting requests on behalf of anyone, so make sure the actual person who got wrongfully banned gets in contact with Nowe to resolve the situation.
