Woo! First topic started on this site!

Well, just to start off, I joined this site to roleplay, but then I fell into a sort of imaginative funk just after joining. I don't want to fall away from the site though, because this seems like just the place I'd love to be a part of. So, until I get back into the swing of things, I thought I'd get to know the people I'll (eventually) be RPing with.

As the title suggests ever so subtly, I want to know what fandoms everyone belongs to, and on a broader note, pretty much what everyone enjoys, obsesses over, geeks out about, etc.

Hmm, I guess that means I have to tell you what I'm into then. Jolly good! I write almost religiously, just throwing that out there, and I am an avid furry. My fursona is a badger bard with a violet stripe down his back instead of a white stripe (I'll go into greater detail for anyone who's interested). I also play Minecraft with great fervor. I love anything steampunk/industrial or non-classical fantasy. And just recently, I have joined the ranks of the bronies, which I've noticed this site has at least a few of.

So these are some of the silly things I love. Can't wait to learn about everyone else so I might more effectively brainwash you all. By which of course I mean make friends... yes... Absolutely. :D

Well, well, well...

So, fandoms, eh?

Lesse...

I for one, like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, the Ironman and Transformers movies. Which probably marks me as a firm nerd-type human.

Final Fantasy is definitely the first of a long list of favorite video games (including Halo and Assassin's Creed among others).

I do like to write (or at least make up stories). I tend to favor high fantasy (not as much), "soft" sci-fi, steampunk (not so much), and cyberpunk.

Reading wise, I tend to read more high fantasy than anything. Excepting Lord of the Rings, which is, interestingly enough, actually low fantasy.

Also, medieval combat (especially weapons) and strategics. Ask anyone you like on this site, they'll probably say I'm good with strategy.

Gawd.. Where to -START-.. I've.. Pretty much invaded almost every circle I can think of throughout my time. <.<

I suppose, first and foremost.. Writing (fictional novels and etc), avid roleplaying (here and other places included), sci-fi (Star Gate, Sanctuary, a.. bout a million others included), Fantasy and etc, I'm a bit of an Otaku, too, and a casual member within a number of sub-culture communities.

Heh! It's good to hear that you want to be a part of this site. Makes my administrative self feel all fuzzy inside. XD But anyway...

I am, as my avatar should tell you, a big fan of the United Kingdom, especially England. My fandom is British history and that of her Empire, not to mention the resulting Commonwealth. I'm also a big fan of politics and law--

OH YOU MEAN FICTION?

Not much, to be honest. I do custom RPs and that's it. >__> And I read webcomics (Sandra and Woo and Ozy and Millie). Occasionally play Zelda. XD

Ah, the joys of webcomics. I've got a big big list of a few dozen I read on a regular basis, so that'd definitely have to be one of my pastimes. ^.^

Forgot about webcomics. I follow a number of them...

Also, flash games. Oh lord, flash games. Don't get me started on flash games.

Scott Pilgrim is a fandom of mine, and I do enjoy a variety of graphic novels.  Not too into just plain comics.  I used to read a lot of manga, but haven't read anything lately.  Still enjoy the stuff, just haven't found anything interesting.

I am definitely an avid fan of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, along with some other anime shows.  Haven't watched any lately, however.

When it comes to movies I like just about everything, but I'm much more picky with television shows.  Currently my favorite is Breaking Bad (epic show, everyone should see it).

Other than that, I don't really have any fandoms in particular that I can think of.

I like pretty much anything anime/manga related, so long as it's clean (meaning no hentai of any kind). My current favorites are; Bleach, Blue Exorcist, Inuyasha, Soul Eater (my avatar), Corpse Princess, and Witchblade.

As far as movies I am rather fond of murder mysteries/who 'dun its. (Sherlock Holmes came out!!!!! :D ) As well as Sy-Fi/Fantasy

I am pretty fond of most video games, so long as they are not Call of Crap (Call of Duty, in case you didn't catch that). One of my favorite series is Kingdom Hearts.

And Dr. Who....i really like Dr. Who...

So yeah, you can pretty much lable me as a geek or a nerd I don't care! :D

I'm a LotR lore expert, although I don't claim the rank of "master" (although I do know enough to exclude unicorns from the Middle-earth canon).* I enjoy Star Wars, although I haven't delved much into the EU (my only experience being the X-wing series). I recently finished reading A Song of Ice and Fire and David Eddings' Belgariad and Malloreon, both of which I enjoyed immensely.

As far as other things go, I'm a major Shakespeare actor, having participated in a ridiculous number of his plays, and I enjoy a good video game from time to time. My current favorite fandoms are The Elder Scrolls and Assassin's Creed.

*See "The Unicorn Conspiracy: How One Man Stood Up Against Corruption", coming soon in paperback.

Well, to start off, I'm an avid brony and furry, as obvious as it seems.

Otherwise, I'm probably a military technology freak. Although not a 'gun-nut', anything beyond World War I technology always interests me. This is one of the reasons why I have such an obsession with gaming franchises like Command and Conquer, Halo, Mass Effect, Half Life, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and Mech Warrior.

As for genres, my interests are primarily with Sci-Fi, (Modern-day Sci-Fi, however. Raygun Gothic makes me cringe) Cyberpunk, Modern-esque fiction, and so on. Despite this, I also have some level of interest in Steampunk or low-level fantasy.

TV and Movies I don't have much interest in, however there are some shows and movies I prefer over others. I spend most of my time, when watching TV, (when not watching My Little Pony episodes) watching shows on the Military, Science, or History Channel; G4 TV I sometimes tune into as well. As for actual shows, Mythbusters, MLP, Prophets of Science Fiction, and Avatar: The Last Airbender are about it.

I delve into much more than this honestly, but it'd probably take too long to elaborate on.

Ponies~~~
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is awesome, so anyone not in that fandom. Other than that I guess I'm a major anime fan in general*. Considering that I've watched quite a lot and think highly of a lot of series, it's hard to really label all the fandoms you could really consider me part of. It probably depends on how deeply you define fandom though. I don't really feel like I'm in a fandom unless I'm sharing love of something with someone else.

I used to be an avid follower of anime/manga, but now I'm drifting out of the fandom to pursue writing (though I've been writing seriously since middle school) and digital animation. I paint with watercolors and draw in my free time. Right now I'm working on a great big story I've been planning out for more than a year.

I love comics. I read Scott Pilgrim, Watchmen, Richie Rich, Scrooge, (why yes, I am a dweeb), superhero comics and other various graphic novels. (I highly recommend 'Castle Waiting' by Linda Medley, by the way--it's got gorgeous art and an inviting fantasy setting.)  Manga kick-started my love of the written word and pictures combined on the same page, so I've been seeking a way to combine the two in my future career.

Videogames are fun. I play pretty much only Nintendo games, but I'd like to think I'm fairly knowledgeable about The Legend of Zelda, Mario and the Smash Bros. series. I also enjoy a good puzzler/text-based game such as Professor Layton or Phoenix Wright. McDanil and I have similar tastes on that front. Kingdom Hearts was one of my first loves.

I don't watch much television, but I've got all of the seasons of Seinfeld on DVD. I've seen only a few episodes of Doctor Who, but I find it rather entertaining. Aside from the occasional comedy or action flick such as Sherlock Holmes, I watch Disney and Pixar movies.

In terms of roleplaying, I enjoy primarily fantasy games. I can do a bit of Sci-fi too, if I'm so inclined.

Oh Lordy, I wasn't that bad. (Though I do still have some Vocaloid songs on my iPod that I have yet to take off.) I've sold all of my manga, and I stopped wanting to go to Japan in seventh grade when I realized it was pretty much impossible. The style of those comics sort of seeped into my everyday style of visual art, which hindered me in my drawing classes. That isn't to say that it isn't still a cool style--it's just that outside of Japan and the internet, there isn't much use for an American trying to emulate their favorite manga-ka. (Oops, I just revealed my top-secret location.)

I still watch the occasional anime when I'm with friends, though.
