I've heard, from certain unnamed sources, that I've become someone undesirable in terms of Rping. I would like to personally apologize for any trouble or frustration caused in any of your RPs. If possible, I would like to go back and remedy any and all posts in which any of you felt that I was making a poor decision, or was an all-around bad post. I also resolve to be less "comic relief" and more serious with my characters and my posts. I also promise to ask before inserting a new or OP device into the plot, or making ridiculous situations. I truly am sorry that I caused any of you discomfort, and feel free to message me (on RPGF, Im never on Hotmail) with any problems you may or did have with my posts.
Can you forgive me?
I'm Sorry Guys

Seriously, though, if you need advice, feel free to ask any one of this. I, personally, developed my writing by reading lots of well-written books (WELL-WRITTEN, mind you) and then doing my best to write similarly. This doesn't mean imitate someone's writing style: it means that in order to write well, you need to know what good writing is, and act on it.
Also, quit blacking out after every post. It gets annoying, and it's a clumsy transitioning technique.
And yes, despite my usual unkindness, this is meant as constructive criticism. Hopefully you're not too offended.

It's not that you are undesirable in any way - you just have yet to learn the ropes I would say. Developing a story is crucial to roleplaying, and to do that, you have to know how stories work, the parts of literature I might add, can't hurt.
Not only that, but learning how to co-exist with another author's work. Learning hands on is the best way - I would recommend playing RPs that aren't so serious, and targeted for a more experienced audience. Everyone learns at their own pace, so don't get frustrated if you haven't picked it up yet. It could take a week, a month, or even half a year to fully understand how to roleplay.
It's not you personally, just know, you have some practice to do, and take the advice of those willing to help you and you should be getting better as the days pass by.

Also, it helps to learn where the lines between overpowered, standard level, and underpowered characters lie.
Overpowered characters are just disliked in general, as they have a bad habit of destroying the storyline or breaking the storyworld. These are generally hard to play well at all. Because they tend to kill encounters in seconds. Have all the powers and gear they'll have throughout the RP...but they also have a habit of instantly learning a new ability in the RP, or pulling a new piece of gear out of nowhere.
Standard characters are...your normal, average joes. Essentially, most characters should be here. In fact, most will be here, in most RPs. Generally have all the equipment and powers they'll have throughout the RP.
Underpowered character are more difficult to play, as they aren't prepared or equipped to deal with the RP's world. They aren't looked down on, and most will be accepted. Just be ready for a challenge, or learn the value of picking up gear and powers throughout the RP.
In general, one should play Standard characters. Underpowered characters are a unique challenge.
