Throughout his time as part of the staff Vithar has exhibited superior loyalty, level-headedness, intelligence, utility, advice-giving prowess and work ethic. That he has decided to continue on as staff is good news indeed.
Behind the scenes, Nowe and I argue a hell of a lot (as most of you probably know), and it has always been Vithar that, since day one, has kept the peace between my authoritarianism and Nowe's... also-authoritarianism. Without him, this site would have burned to the ground twice, many eons ago, and that he continues to act as a referee is also good news.
Vithar's successor, per the decision of Nowe and myself, is John Archer. We have known Archer for years; we trust him and know that he isn't about to blow the place up. At least not too badly. He fixes things up nicely, too. And wears science pants. So he's nice to have around.
