The only recent MMO I played was Dungeon Fighter, which is a F2P game that is actually really fun if you have a good connection. It's what happens when you cross an anime styled beat 'em up with MMORPG. Again, it gets kind of old after a while, but it's still relatively fun.

DC Universe online (Going free to play in October)
Bright Shadow
Actually that's all I got, but Bright Shadow is completely free and really well done.

I'd honestly say that F2P games end up costing a whole lot more than P2P games. You really get shafted in free-to-play games if you don't waste heaps of money on a cash shop. And of course, free-to-play games have a whole lot less moderation and more bugs that stay unfixed for ages. The whole F2P model functions on making all the games disposable. Of course pay-to-play games would look more desirable, because they're made to be that way. I'm mostly just a free-to-play gamer and I accept them for their flaws. I'd play a pay-to-play game, but none have really gauged my interest enough.
At the moment I guess I play Prius and Mabinogi. I did play Flyff a lot at one point but I don't really play it anymore (but I guess I would if I had enough motivation). I do want to try The Secret World when it comes out though.
