I
Lord of the Rings was a more recent acquisition (10 years ago, give or take)
Final Fantasy series. I think it was FFX that really got me into the series. So, also about ten years ago. That waned for a bit until the first Dissidia game came out. My obsession for Final Fantasy still hasn't worn out.
A couple of minor obsessions would be The Obsidian Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey and The Wheel of Time series, a la Robert Jordan.

Alright, let's begin. I am obsessed with many things, but here are those that pop into mind.
- Any and all of J.R.R. Tolkien's words and lore - much like Lyon really. I still have yet to finish the Silmarillion though.
- Anime/manga, most notably - Bleach, Naruto Shippuuden, One Piece, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Gantz, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Love Hina, DBZ, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, and perhaps many more. I'm a bit of a fan...
- History! Any and all topics - I'm a minor in History for college, so this makes sense. My main obsession with history is within the American/European, and Asiatic focuses (mostly Japan).
- Design and the arts - I major in Graphic Design and have been drawing all my life... this makes sense as well. And with almost every drawing I put my heart into, I am essentially a perfectionist.
- Video games - I'm a BIG RPer (go figure), so you can imagine I am obsessed over Fallout (3-New Vegas), Oblivion and soon TES V: Skyrim, Halo 1-Reach (exclude ODST please), Call of Duty (none of the MW games), Final Fantasy VII-X, and many many more. A little tid-bit would be my goal in life as becoming a video game designer/conceptual artist, and then studio CEO...
- Uhhh.. root beer. I love it. It tastes delicious.
- Grammar; I'm a grammar nazi... and spelling nazi. In addition, an obsession with people saying words right could be connected to weird pet-peeve with people saying them wrong - what's odder is that it isn't so much English than other languages I know like Spanish or Japanese...
- Politics and Economics - Red can attest a bit - I find it all fascinating and yet equally frustrating! If you couldn't tell, I'm a fucking nerd.
- Anthropology / Social Sciences - more or less a recent obsession, or perhaps more accurately an intense interest of mine! Anthropology is quickly becoming one of my most favorite courses at my University, and I loved Socilogy and History last semesters.
- Writing - I enjoy creative writing at least, and anyone who has read my material on the Oracle's Mandate (my book or game) could agree... it's almost a fanatic passion.
- Forum RPing, obviously. It's ironic because up until now, I have hosted A LOT of things, all worthy games, yet somehow they continue to fall dead. Oh well, it's still a passion of mine.
Honest to god, there's probably a LOT more, but It's about 1:20 am here at the moment, so my brain's a bit fried. Hope ya learned some stuff about me though.

An Obsidian-based Arena RP might be worth the chance.

When the Devil came down to Georgia (Or, as I call it, a delightful slice of American folk music): http://www.youtube.c...h?v=cDm_ZHyYTrg
I also like hearing mad folk stories, or just stories around the world, as well as pretty weird tales, like anything by HP Lovecraft or Mike Mignola.
