Environment

The world of Kinwara is split in half by a huge, ancient forest. The East and West sides are completely detached from each other. The West side is barren, and foul creatures live in its mountains, raiding the people. The East side is lush green, full of trees and rivers, a paradise.


People

In the west live the Svart, a people dedicated on warfare. To defend from the raids of the creatures of the mountains, they have developed an uncanny ability to use weapons and fists, and their strategic abilities are beyond normal. They use the magic in the world to strengthen their combat abilities.
In the East live the Lios. They have developed, through the closeness to nature, a more practical use of magic. They can mold and control the elements, use them to their advantage. They train their bodies hard, however, because stamina is required for a potential wizard.


Mechanics

The Svart divide their skills in four parts.
Mind (or magic)
Fist
Range
Weapon

The Lios can cast magic in the following ways. (least potent first)
Motion
Speech
Song
Text
Picture
Specific mechanics will be provided. The Lios have 5000 set techniques/spells one can use, but each person can develop their own. Mastering the first 1500 is considered a very good level.


Situation

The Svart covet the Eastern lands, while the Lios believe their magic can get them anything they wish. For those two reasons, the factions are at the verge of a war. The forest and the peaceful nature of the Lios is the only thing that prevents it. Also, the Dalrei of each have been sent to the other faction, to study, in an attempt to strengthen the bonds between them and stop the war.
